Watch out! Shell Attack!

Hermit Crab owners always want the best for there crabs. Most of them want them to live long too. If you are one of these people, then this tip will really help you!

DO NOT GET PAINTED SHELLS! Painted shells are very hard for a crab to breathe in. Not only that, but if the paint scrapes off, it will poison your crab if it eats it because the paint is toxic. In my opinion, real shells look better anyway. I believe it will probly have them live longer too. I have only had five hermit crabs and none of them had painted shells. My first one, was Sandy. I did not no how to take care of her properly and then we got 2 more, Murray and Feline. But Sandy had died. I buried her and got another one after getting a cavity drilled at the dentist. Her name was Rosemary. I had them for a while and she died I think because she was squished under their pool. Finally, I got another one, was as big as my fist and then decided that was enough for a while!
