
I like to give my hermit crabs things to do, so, I found some old wireing in the basement and leaned it against the side of the cage. They like to climb on it and I think they enjoy it. The only problom is that my cage is a bit to small for it!

Please go to Crab Street Journal to read how to properly set up a crabitat for your hermit crabs. You must have a humidity gauge (to monitor humidity they need to breath through their modified gills) and a thermometer to monitor the substrate as well as the air temp of the tank. They need dechlorinated ocean and fresh water ponds and a varied diet. They need extra changing ahells as well as more shelter and items to climb for exerdise. For those on a tight budget there is also an article to help set up a proper crabitat.
